Hi everybody,
starting around noon today on two separate machines running MacOS 10.7 and 10.8 respectively, boinc seems not to be able to request new malaria control work units. The messages in the log window read like
Thu Sep 13 17:00:09 2012 | malariacontrol.net | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
Thu Sep 13 17:00:09 2012 | malariacontrol.net | Requesting new tasks for CPU and NVIDIA
Thu Sep 13 17:00:12 2012 | malariacontrol.net | [error] Can't parse workunit in scheduler reply: unexpected XML tag or syntax
Thu Sep 13 17:00:12 2012 | malariacontrol.net | [error] No close tag in scheduler reply
Both machines crunch test units.
By some miracle, another machine running under Windows XP seems unaffected.
To add some information, the malaria control task lists on the web show tasks having been assigned to my machines, but they never show up on the boinc instances on those machines themselves. Second, I dont take influence on what malaria control sends me, I leave that up entirely to them, hence no fiddled-with config files or anything on my side.
