Have run out of work units and have tried \'update\'.
All I keep getting is \'Communication Deferred\'.
Messages read (abbr) \'Requesting 0 seconds of work\'
and \'Scheduler request succeded: got 0 new tasks\'.
Server Status is up.
Any ideas?

Give it some more time. There is a code in there to prevent people from hammering the servers. Don\'t try connecting until after the time out period, maybe the servers are really down. If they are there is no way for the message to change because they are down. Stupid message saying \"servers status is up\" because like I said, if they are down they can\'t update that message!

That explains it (code to stop servers being hammered). Just have to be more patient.
I have only just got BOINC working after trying for two months!
My ISP (NTL) gave me the wrong MTU setting for router (browsing and e-mail fine but BOINC and XP update wouldn\'t connect).
