My 2000 pro system is fine. I only run malaria control. The xp pro system sets idle without doing anything with the tasks. Preferences seem the same on both systems. Boinc is 6.2.19 on both. Xp was completely rebuilt. Can I check the level of maiaria control?

Your system has crashed every optimizer task it's been sent (tasks started being sent out for the application again on 15th September). Malariacontrol simulation tasks are being processed fine. Probably best to disable optimizer in your project preferences.

Your 2000 machine is having serious problems with the OPT units but is crunching the regular units just fine, you may want to turn off the OPT units for it. It could be that at 863mhz it is just not fast enough to finish them, or it could be something else. Your XP machine seems to be returning one unit every 0.52 days, with no problems. If you do have problems with the XP machine you may wish to consider upgrading it to Service Pack 3, I did all my machines recently and have had no problems. Although I did not have any problems with SP2, it does SEEM to be running a bit smoother.

I don't see a tab to turn off optimizer. I looked in advanced preferences.

I put on sp3 which did not seem to make a difference. I stopped doing opt and can handle wu fine, so I'll stick with that.
Thanks

I am gald all is well now, a while back I did exactly the same thing. All my OPT units were crashing either themselves or my computers, so I too turned off the OPT units. Everything else runs fine now for me too.
