hello,

i encourage you to make a French version of your website.

it would be very useful to obtain more users. and also for me to understand what exactly your works are about.

i am doing calculations, but the goals of your researches is not really understable for me and i don't know if i will continue to calculate for a long period.

i just understood some few explanation, and would appreciate a French version of your website.
for Begian, French, West-African and Swiss users it would be welcome.

Is the site ready to handle translated versions? I haven't seen any place to select what language you want to read it in. I know someone who may be interested in doing the translation, after she finishes a few translations elsewhere. Do you want to volunteer as one of her proofreaders if she tries it?

I found something that may eventually help you with this:

http://boincfaq.mundayweb.com/index.php?language=1

Click on the French flag to change languages, then scroll down to section 09. and see if anything specific to this project has been translated to French yet. Then do the same thing in section 11. However, from what I can tell in the English version, the parts specific to this project haven't been translated to French yet, so you may have to guess how often it's worth checking.

Something else that may help: Set the language of your browser (such as Internet Explorer) to French, then go here:

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/help_lang.php

Look for anyone in a French-speaking country that mentions being familiar with this project. You may be able to get them to tell you at least a little about this project, in French.

If that doen't work, set your browser to use English, then go here and see if this list shows anyone in a French-speaking country who wasn't in the other list.

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/help_lang.php?lang=English

You might also want to look for a team at this project with the name of a French-speaking country in its name (in either language) that you might want to join, and send a private message to its member with the most recent activity in this project. Include something in each language, in case that person can't read both of them. That person may be willing to send you a description in French in order to persuade you to join that team.

Another site to check:

The English version says something about this project; it looks like the French and Italian versions do also.

thx Robert, i found this site just after having post my message (and it was easy to find it), and it helped me.
I had read a lot of English informations but was a bit frustrated to not understand clearly the goals of the researches, but English is the scientific language. I'm still there if you need a proofreader for some French translations.
